For Volunteers

Volunteering is personal and meaningful.

Volunteering is a personal decision we make for many different reasons at different points in our lives. Our reasons are as varied as our interests, schedules, capabilities and personal goals or missions – the common thread remains the same, we all have the desire to give back and contribute positively to our community.

Volunteering is a way to transfer and develop skills.

Volunteering will help you gain experience for educational or community requirements as well as enhance your employ-ability. Through volunteering you can share your strengths, skills, talents, creativity, knowledge and professional services – you may also choose to take on mentorship roles and pass along your experiences and skills to those seeking to gain them.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering is part of a healthy lifestyle, and can help to enrich your life. It is fun challenging, and can fit your time, interests, skills and abilities.

You can volunteer one hour or many hours – what is important is that it fits your priorities and your life! Search the Banff Volunteer Centre’s VList to find the best match for you!
